Segment LCD screens, as the name implies, belong to a type of LCD (liquid crystal display) technology utilized in electronic devices. They display characters, symbols, or numbers by partitioning the screen into distinct segments, with each segment corresponding to a particular part of a character or symbol, like lines, curves, or dots.
In comparison to dot matrix LCD screens, segment LCD screens possess a lower resolution. Their main application lies in presenting simple characters or symbols, such as numbers or basic icons.
